Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress and has gained fame in Canada for the role of Bo. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk were both professors. Ilkay was also a director, producer and playwright. She is director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her most fond memories of watching TV and attending play rehearsals. Silk appeared as a little girl in commercials. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Arts from St. Thomas University. Her early theater experience includes at least two productions with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she began to meet him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. In 2009, they were married civilly in December 2009. When she converted to Judaism and they renewed their wedding vows at an Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk was blessed with the son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second child was born in the month of May 2016. Silk's work on television includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. She was given the role of Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was expecting while filming the finale of the third season. She announced the pregnancy to the fans in the Showcase Season Three pre-show special of 6 January 2013. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she was back to work on the show. CNN Cable News Network named Bo as well as Lauren Zoie Palmer as the same-sex couple on Lost Girl to be one of the top television Couples of all time. E! Magazine declared that they were the top TV Couples of 2013 Entertainment Television. Silk has a huge social media following, including Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its popularity.
